St. George spreads across a wide valley, and each area has a different feel. Below, areas are described by location, amenities and home styles, from north to south.1 Many are master-planned, meaning one plan sets the streets, parks and builders.
North and west

- Green Valley: established west-side area near golf and the Bearclaw Poppy bike trails.1
- Divario: a large west-side master plan with builder villages and trails.1
- Stonebridge: near the golf courses off Stonebridge Drive, mixing single-family homes, condos and townhomes.1
Central and east
- Stone Cliff: gated east-side hillside with custom homes and valley views.1

South
- Southgate: built around the Southgate course near Tonaquint.1
- Bloomington: one of the first master plans, around Bloomington Country Club, with mature landscaping.1
- Little Valley: newer homes and bigger lots, some with room for animals; home to the city pickleball complex.1
- Desert Canyons: southeast master plan near the airport.1
- Hidden Valley: south St. George near I-15, with townhomes, patio homes and villas.1
- Desert Color: near the Arizona line, built around a swimming lagoon.1
Age-restricted (55+) communities
The valley has many 55+ communities, such as SunRiver. These are legally age-qualified housing; ask about each community's rules.1
What to check on any home
- FEMA flood maps, soil conditions and a radon test.1

- Which electric utility serves it (city or Dixie Power).1
